At ๐๐ง๐ข๐ฌ๐จ๐ง ๐๐ง๐ญ๐๐ซ๐ง๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐๐ฅ ๐๐๐ก๐จ๐จ๐ฅ , an awareness session on โ๐๐ฎ๐ญ๐ฒ ๐จ๐ ๐๐๐ซ๐ โ ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ซ๐๐ข๐ง๐ข๐ง๐ โ was successfully conducted to promote child safety and strengthen responsibility among all stakeholders.
The session was led by distinguished resource persons, ๐๐ฌ. ๐๐๐๐ง๐ ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ซ๐ (Chairperson, Child Welfare Committee, Panchkula) and ๐๐ฌ. ๐๐ข๐๐ก๐ข ๐๐๐ฅ๐ข๐ค (Legal-cum-Probation Officer, District Child Protection Unit, Panchkula). They shared valuable insights on the POCSO Act 2012, Mission Vatsalya, Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, and the Juvenile Justice Act, 2015, while highlighting the crucial role of the Child Welfare Committee in safeguarding children.
The programme was conducted in two segments. The ๐๐ข๐ซ๐ฌ๐ญ ๐ฌ๐๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ข๐จ๐ง, for ๐๐ซ๐ข๐ฏ๐๐ซ๐ฌ ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐ญ๐ญ๐๐ง๐๐๐ง๐ญ๐ฌ, focused on their role in ensuring child safety, including reporting procedures, awareness about Child Helpline 1098, POCSO e-Box, and prevention of abuse. The ๐ฌ๐๐๐จ๐ง๐ ๐ฌ๐๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ข๐จ๐ง, for students of ๐๐ซ๐๐๐๐ฌ ๐โ๐๐, emphasized their rights, personal safety measures, types of offences, and ways to seek help.
Key aspects such as legal provisions, child protection mechanisms, and awareness of unsafe situations were explained in a simple and sensitive manner, making the session highly informative and impactful for both staff and students ๐ฑ
